Guys!! Thank you for your super sweet responses to my last post! It was so nice to hear that so many of you can relate. I love being able to just talk to you about life and the things we all feel and experience in some way at one time or another. Life is a constant journey of balance. Push and pull. Give and take. Yin and yang. Peanut butter and jelly 🙂 Sometimes we are super inspired to share be and expressive and others we are called to go inward, recharge, and hibernate a little bit. It’s our challenge to be flexible and allow ourselves to experience these different seasons of our lives and give ourselves what is is that we need.
Speaking of needs, I just walked in the door from a couple days in LA for some meetings, which means I got to see some of my favorite friends in the world for some quality girl time. I needed that. 3 hour life catch up lunches, late night sushi at hole in the wall spots, accidental shopping on Melrose, and coffee dates at Alfred where any and everything can be discussed with zero judgement are really underestimated moments in life. Sometimes I take for granted the fact that I have some pretty amazing girlfriends because they are always there and we talk a lot when we aren’t together, but when we are, I realize how nice it is. My closest friends are all from different times, experiences, and stages of my life that I feel very lucky to have maintained throughout the months and years despite the face that we all have busy lives and may even be in different cities. Some of them know each other really well and some of them don’t know each other at all. I appreciate different things about each friend and the way we can just be ourselves with each other. It’s pretty cool.
Oh, and by the way, this is an outfit post. But since it’s already off to such a random start, I’m not even going to try to give it a natural intro, I’ll just go ahead and insert it here. You guys know I have a weird 70s fetish and anything that evokes that Farrah Fawcett Charlie’s Angels vibe, give it to me. This denim dress gave me feels when I saw it, so I paired it with my 70s inspired Chloe Faye and rusty tan fringe boots for the perfect summer hot child in the city look.
