LONDON // VS Fashion Show

December 5, 2014  //  Travel

Hi guys!! I’m back from a loooong month of back to back travel and it’s so nice to be home!! The last leg of my travel saga was London (one of my favorite cities in the world!) for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show which was taped there this year! I went last year in NYC and it was such an incredible experience so I was beyond excited to see what it would be like overseas this year. We were the official beverage sponsor this year and last, so 500 Suja bottles were stacked in fridges backstage for press, models, and crew. Everyone with VS is so incredibly talented, wonderful, and sweet so it is always an amazing time with them and they completely knocked this year’s show out of the park! Here are a bunch of photos of London town….

1Buckingham Palace by night with my best babe 2 HARRODS! If you have never been to Harrod’s, it can best be described as a small shopping country for luxury goods. And beauty products. And specialty food items. And anything else I’m forgetting because I guarantee you…you want it, they got it.

3 Harrod’s Food Hall

5Yes, right around here I hyperventilated it was so good

109The super swank Scarfes Bar at the Rosewood Hotel was the most fun scene! Great for people watching and they had super talented live performers and dancers. I managed to capture this rendition of “Royals” – Video Nov 30, 1 27 54 PM

12Zuma! This place has incredible sushi! I was at the South Beach location a couple weeks ago and absolutely loved it so I knew it would be great. We had sea bass with a garlic sauce, hamachi, salmon and tuna tartare, and sushi rolls. It was so delicious and completely packed on a Monday night.

13Some other eats clockwise from top left- I was craving red meat so I had a huge steak right before the VS Fashion Show at the hotel. It was everything I wanted and more. We had the BEST breakfast at Daylesford Organic which serves only organic, very high quality produce, eggs, baked goods, fish, and meats. It reminds me so much of Joan’s on Third in LA because it is also a specialty food market. I had 2 poached eggs with smoked salmon, avocado, and arugula. It was the perfect breakfast after a decadent late night out. Our first night in, we went to this amazing Italian place called Rocco and I had a delish beef carpaccio and an unpictured salmon salad. If you’ve read my blog for a while, you know I don’t have a sweet tooth but I LOOOOVE salt so I was in heaven with the salty carpaccio. When we were at Harrod’s, we had lunch at one of their restaurants and I had a tuna Nicoise salad. This tuna was the best I’ve ever had! All in all, London is an awesome place to eat and it’s super easy to find healthy delicious food.

7Backstage at the show!

1516I was backstage for most of the day leading up to the show and it is so fun to see the show preparation process! There are tons of makeup artists, hairstylists, and media running around. It’s a very well organized form of chaos. The girls are suprisingly relaxed and yes, they eat. Last year I was talking to Candice Swanepoel backstage while she was eating a chocolate croissant like it was no thing and this year was no different.

8 Showtime!

11I mean…

The show was so beautiful and the girls are absolutely stunning! They work their asses off and it shows. Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Hozier, and Ariana Grande knocked their performances out of the park. It was black tie this year, so we wore black tie to the show and stayed at the same venue for the afterparty which was SO. MUCH. FUN. We drank champagne and danced all night. It wasn’t as much fun in the morning when I woke up after what seemed like no sleep to catch my flight, but well worth it! 🙂

14What I wore from left to right –

Destroyed Sweatshirt: R13 // Leggings: Lululemon // Sneaks: Isabel Marant

Bell Bottoms: J Brand // Drape Neck Top: Elliatt // Hat: Janessa Leone // Shoes: Saint Laurent (on sale!)

Coat: Mackage – sold out (similar) // Furry Beanie: From Barney’s in NYC – no tag inside // Skinnies: J Brand // Boots: Isabel Marant

Gown: Gucci // Sandals: Saint Laurent

Ok!  I’m going to go hibernate for a few days to get my zombie self back to normal! I missed you guys and hope you enjoy this recap! Have any of you ever been to London and what is your favorite stuff to do there?

SO beyond exciting! What an experience! So nice to see you had fun in the city and of course at the fashion show. The models were lucky to have a Suja supply!

Your outfits for the trip = the best. Can’t pick a favorite outfit, haha.

I haven’t been to London yet; but when I DO go in the near future, Harrod’s is my first stop 🙂

Welcome home and enjoy the upcoming weekend! X

This seems like the most exciting thing on the planet, from how you started out with such a passion for health to help with your food sensitivities and now it’s this amazing company that helps people everywhere incorporate healthy food into their lives. I was born in London and I love everything about it, but Harrods is where I want to live! The gourmet food markets and just everything is so amazing, marks and Spencer’s has such a wonderful selection of food as well. And the fresh fish and chips you get wrapped in newspaper with vinegar are heaven. I miss it so so so much! It is my dream to work for a company like Suja that empowers people to take control of their health. I love your blog thanks so much for sharing.
