Hi everyone! I hope you had an amazing Thanksgiving!! It has finally gotten chilly in San Diego (well, relatively speaking) and I’m loving the change of pace around here. Things have been busy per usual, but I did manage to get all of my Christmas shopping done! This NEVER happens for me and I am always last minute pulling my shit together, so go me. Also, side note – I made my font a bit bigger because I felt it was a bit tiny to ready on desktop. You like better?
I was in LA earlier this week shooting a very cool video with Gwyneth Paltrow for Juice Beauty. I had my makeup done while she talked through the products and process, as well as her own experience with makeup and why she chose to create an organic line. I showed up at 7am makeup free, slightly nervous for GP to sit right in front of me evaluating my bare face, but she made me feel SO comfortable and it was the most fun shoot I have ever done. On Instagram, soooo many of you expressed interest in a post all about my thoughts on natural makeup and which products I do love and recommend. Stay tuned for that as it will be coming very soon and I’m excited to have this conversation with you all and hear your thoughts!
Today’s look is my current go-to outfit this fall/winter season. I have been wearing some variation of this every single day: cashmere sweater, skinnies, a suede pump or boot, and a great bag to polish it all up. I’ve been really loving camel in particular, because it’s such a nice change from black while being just as versatile and easy to style with any pant and accessory combo. But camel aside, what’s really shocking is that I’m really digging red this season!! ME. RED. Who am I??? The actual reason I purchased these red accessories is because fiancé is a basketball fiend and we go to tons of college and NBA games for his teams. His college team is the SDSU Aztecs and their colors are red and black. I can get down with sports and even get really into cheering, clapping, yelling, etc…but, a girl needs some cute team color accessories to feel personally invested, no? Now that I have a few red pieces in my accessories collection, I’ve been wearing them with everything and really loving how a flash of red transforms a basic outfit into something more special in a very classic and understated way.
