Hello my beautiful friends! I am here with another outfit post from the brunch portion of my girls’ sleepover. I have been very into sweater dresses lately, and it actually took me quite some time to find my perfect sweater dress that wasn’t too long and had the right amount of slouch to it. Oh, not being itchy was another V V important point of criteria. Ironically, I found my “perfect” sweater dress from ThePerfext. I don’t own anything else from this brand, so I saw it online and ordered it with very low expectations. To my surprise, it has become my holy grail sweater dress and I can’t wait to purchase more from their line! (Mini disclaimer – this is not sponsored at all, I paid full price for this dress, and I don’t think ThePerfext even knows I exist). As you know, if you have read my blog for a while, I am not afraid to splurge on high-end pieces. I do this because I think about cost per wear, and, if you are one of my close friends and see me in my daily life, you know I wear the same shit over and over and OVER again because I purchase items I truly love and wear with everything. This winter, I had my heart set on finding a great sweater dress and I have worn this at least 12 times already because this is THE sweater dress of my wardrobe. This is how I shop and what I do – I decide on one key item I need (last year it was my Balmain blazer that I wore to death and still plan to for 2017!) and I wear that to pieces. I have worn this sweater dress with a furry vest with a few different overcoats and vests, a lacey slip underneath peaking out to look double layered, and of course my Balmain blazer over top. It is so versatile! The one thing I haven’t changed is these boots – they are essential in the winter if you plan to wear something short. I have them in black, the taupe you see here in this look, and a brownish camel color. They go with everything and happen to be comfortable, so yay for that.
