Hi everyone!!! Yikes, I have been very behind on my blog lately! I have gotten through my summer travels and have had old friends in town, lots of activity in our household with some construction and remodeling, a teething puppy, and planning for NYFW next month. I’m finally getting back to shooting and creating content and it feels sooooo good to have the dust settled (for the most part) to get back in my groove. I worked out this morning and spent the day organizing, which made my type A personality rejoice. Boyfriend grilled the most yummy salmon tonight and we are hanging out chillaxin’ just the way I like it!
So let’s discuss this look. I have a love/hate relationship with bodysuits. Let’s start with the loves: you never have to worry about keeping your shirt tucked in correctly; you can wear extra deep V’s because they are anchored down (yes, by your crotch) and there are no “oh shit, my top is flying open I need double sided tape” moments; they’re very versatile and go with any sort of bottom. Now let’s go do the hates: if you have to pee, give yourself a good 15 minutes to get in and out of the thing; they are usually a bikini cut – not thong – so you have underwear lines in tight jeans or skirts; they can be unflattering around the midsection if the material is too transparent or clingy. I never bother buying tops this low cut because they are always more trouble than I prefer with adjusting and worrying about having an inopportune nip slip. I ordered this bodysuit with low expectations, and to my pleasant surprise, it is a thong cut and could not feel any more comfortable and secure when wearing it. I styled it with cutoffs because it’s so warm here right now, but plan to wear this for a date night with a sleek ponytail and skinny jeans, and under a sharp blazer and wide leg trouser pants for fall.
How do you guys feel about bodysuits?
