Hi!! How is your weekend? I’ve been in LA all week, but I moved into my new place the day before leaving so I’ve spent the weekend unpacking, shopping, and nesting to get settled into my new home! I thought I’d be a wreck being gone in LA after having moved all my boxes without having time to organize or unpack them, but it was actually kind of nice to drop it all, leave, and take a breather before diving into the unpack. I let SO much stuff go that I no longer need/want/love and that has been a really freeing feeling. I didn’t even bring my TV into this new space because I don’t want to spend the little free time I have staring at a screen talking at me when I could be doing something creative like reading, writing, drawing, or cooking. I also wanted to make space for bringing new things that I love into my space.
Last post was all about my trip to LA, Big Sur and Ojai and I promised all the food pics to come so here they are!Smoked salmon for brekky with 3 unpictured poached eggs and 1/2 an avocado
Amazing salmon with summer veggies at Big Sur Baker with a not too shabby outdoor view and a bottle of roseThinly sliced grilled octopus and Fig and OliveGreen salad with avocado and lemon vinaigrette that might be my favorite dressing ever
My daily breakfast beverage situation. Don’t even act shocked, u already know I am cray
The most buttery filet at Post RanchSea bass at Ojai Valley Inn – I loved this preparation with the mussels and broth!
Ahi sashimi with avocado mousseSeared tuna at Nepenthe with an olive tapenade and lemony asparagus!
I loved the food on this trip so much!! Everything was so fresh, delicious, and satisfying. A lot of people ask me how I travel so much and still eat healthy/maintain my weight, but it’s much more simple than you think! As long as you have a general formula, you can customize any meal on a menu and still enjoy all the things you love.
This week I’m headed to Miami for swim week! What are you guys up to?
